Plastic and remote only gives timer option but look nice These are semi-transparent black plastic and the LEDs look like diamonds so not as “rustic” as a metal marquee letter. When you turn the lights on/off with the remote, they are automatically on a timer. To turn on and leave on, you must access the switch on the back. Also, they always come on at their brightest and must be dimmed every time you turn them on if you want them on a more dim option. They do look cute on the wall and are light enough to be hung with a couple of Command strips.
Great for kids room Bought for my grand daughters reading space. She loves that it’s adjustable with the remote. Easy enough even a ten year old can figure it out. Great accent light for a reading book.
