Why buy something more expensive when this one does the job well! We replaced an expensive blender ($400) that died after 5 or 6 years (old blender died with metal shot flying out everywhere) with this blender. We researched many more expensive ones and then decided to try this one verses buying another $400 or $500 blender. It is very powerful and straight forward to use. Cracks on the base with very little use This is my second Ninja Blender. I went with the bigger model hoping for some more durability. The base of both of my blenders develops cracks and when used leaks out on to the counter. I have only hand washed this and used it sparingly, thinking that the lack of overuse would make the second one last. This is not the case. This blender is not durable. And if this is the way that all Ninja blenders are then I would recommend you find another blender or save your money for one that doesn’t break.
