Lifetime warranty backed by Lavatools??? This insta-read thermometer is great when it worked. However, just recently my thermometer has stopped working. The display shows an error message and turns off immediately. I have tried replacing the battery a few times but the issue still occurs. I noticed that Lavatools offers a lifetime warranty; however, when I contacted them about my issue a week ago they have failed to respond. I purchased this thermometer because of the great reviews and the lifetime warranty.
This Javelin’s housing cracked and fell apart! Unit is no longer functional. Warranty replacement is non-existent. Our unit worked great until it cracked where the thermometer meets the plastic. It fell apart and became useless. We sent a request to Lavatools for a replacement and they requested photos. We provided them photos and then never heard anything back until I left a negative review here.Once I left a negative review, they contacted me via email and sent me a replacement. I’ll upgrade the review from one star to three stars. I’d give a better review if they just honored their…
Defective Product The plastic at the base of the probe cracked making the thermometer fail. Despite numerous emails following up on a warranty submission LavaTools has failed to respond. I would recommend avoiding this company’s products and their “Lifetime Warranty”. Its not hard to offer a lifetime warranty when you don’t honor it.
