Died one year from purchase, but they honored the warranty!! The unit died exactly one year from purchase, with daily but gentle use. On the bright side, I called 1-800-672-6333.and they honored the warranty no questions asked, sent me a free one in the mail. It was a level of customer service I did not anticipate, and it makes me go a long way to redeeming the brand in my eyes.
Nope Unit failed to make coffee in less than 12 months. Lights come on but brewer does not work along with no heat at the warmer plate.Warranty fight beginning with only a couple days left in warranty period.Mr Coffee wouldn’t talk to me about replacing it until I got some magic number from the plug on the unit.Update:Had my daughter bring the failed unit to my house and called Mr Coffee and gave them the number/number letter combos from the plug which they said…
Strong burnt plastic odor, sadly. The coffee maker itself is compact and nice if you’re tired of the ever-present stainless steel look that has taken over all things kitchen-related. That said, I will be returning it due to the horrible plastic odor and taste the machine is producing. I’ve run at least seven cycles with water only and two with white vinegar and it still comes out smelling and tasting of burnt plastic.
