This is a nice, basic coffee pot. My husband is the coffee nut in our house and he says this Mr. Coffee is absolutely fine for a machine which is only intended to brew pot after pot of coffee. Personally, I like the sleek metallic look and the configuration of the buttons arranged on the front of the machine. I should warn you right now, though, the pot does not come with one single paper filter. Really, Mr. Coffee, couldn’t you have put in a couple so we could try the pot as soon as we received it? As it was we waited…
Very happy and caffeinated! 🙂 Read all the reviews and although skeptical due to ‘plastic smell, even the coffee’ comments, ordered anyway. Glad I did. And even though there was absolutely no smell of plastic out of the box I cycled a vinegar bath through it.Never did have any issue with funky smell but now we have really great, HOT coffee. It stays warm better and longer. The heating of water must be better than old maker and perhaps that’s caused the coffee to brew stronger? I don’t know, just know we use less…
Excellent pot – reasonable price! This is a very efficient coffee pot at an affordable price! When our old Mr Coffee died after many years, I researched a number of higher priced and pots with many features as well as Mr Coffee. We’re really glad we purchased this model; it brews quickly, has a signal to advise when ready if we’re in another room. It doesn’t take up a lot of room, and looks nice in our kitchen.
