Great Machine This replaced our (prior version to this one – same design) Kitchen Aid KCM1202OB, that we had since 2007 or 2008 I believe.The new KCM12040B is more compact. First to answer the plastic taste. There was NONE! Cute, but READ THIS if you’re thinking of buying! ***Updated I love KitchenAid gadgets but this one was disappointing! Before I begin I want to point out that KitchenAid sent me a second coffee pot and I had the same issues (below) with both, so my issue was not a one-off.It’s supposed to have a “pause and pour” feature that prevents coffee from dripping on to the hot plate when the pot is removed. Easy Programming and Good Features My first impression of this coffee maker was that it was very pretty, but I was afraid it was going to look too large on the counter.
