Great (In concept)…not so much in reality! I bought this to replace a Ninja with thermal carafe that never really delivered a hot cup of coffee. The Melitta type of filters seem to make the best coffee, so that went into the search for a new coffee maker. Easy access was another plus. After a couple of weeks, we have not had one pot of coffee without grounds floating in it! This is designed so that the filter is not able to be opened to it’s fullest capability, it can only be opened up to an oval shape, so that the brewing coffee…
No loud beeps, makes good (hot) coffee Fantastic, inexpensive coffee pot. Love that it does not “beep” when done brewing or at auto shutoff (should be highlighted in marketing by Hamilton Beach). Easy to fill water reservoir and easy to empty coffee ground basket. Simple to operate. No “plastic” smell or fragments as mentioned by other reviewers (I was lucky or they were unlucky?). I am not a coffee connoisseur (I drink Maxwell House), but the coffee is hot and just as tasty as my old Cuisinart (>2x more…
