I really wanted red, so I tried overlooking some things… which was a mistake. The coffee is perfectly fine. (Be warned, my coffee standards are pretty low.) The reasons we will be giving away this coffee maker:(1) Another reviewer mentioned this and I thought it seemed an odd comment, but now I get it. It’s a lot of red plastic. Seen from the side, it’s a wide red expanse of plastic and the panels don’t match up as well as they should. Everything your liquids touch is plastic except for the carafe. Warning! Won’t last a year! Bought this coffeemaker January of 2015 and by August the first one died on us. Since it was under the manufacturer’s warranty, I was able to get it replaced for an identical one. About a year later, the replacement one died. Fortunately I insured the product through Amazon’s warranty company and we will be getting refunded for our troubles. It was a nice coffeemaker while it worked, but having to go through two of these in a year and a half is absolutely ridiculous. We will NEVER buy…
