Very Good Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker I have had several thermal carafe coffee makers over the years and this one measures up well with the best so far. It worked perfectly out of the box and made very good coffee at the strong brew setting. It takes a while, close to 15 minutes, at that setting, but is worth the wait. Adding more grounds and using the milder setting would reduce the brew time to about 7 minutes. I noticed that some reviews complained that there is no heating plate. I have never seen a thermal carafe maker…
Brews an EXCELLENT cup of coffee but dissapointing usability One of the best cups of homemade coffee we’ve ever had, however, the usability of this coffee maker leaves much to be desired. We are long-time Electrolux customers and it’s painful to use this appliance…..the handle is too far away from the body of the pot (even for someone with a large hand) and it makes pouring difficult, you can’t reach your hand inside the pot to clean it, the grounds basket leaks water (condensation) on top of the pot after brewing so you have to pour that off first,…
I thought I made a good choice My first review ever, but I had to write something. The coffee is good, but doesn’t stay hot very long in the carafe. The carafe is absolutely terrible. You can’t get the last cup of coffee out of it. To get the left over coffee out for cleaning I take the lid off and shake the carafe upside down several times. An earlier review mentioned the spout. There is an opening under the lid about 1.5 inches from the spout. How could this have gotten through quality control? I wish I could sell this…
