Cuisinart seems to have made all the right improvements, but most of all, they perfected the brewing water temp and carafe heater temp. Really love this coffee maker. I haven’t owned this long enough to speak to its durability, but I’m VERY happy with the improvements over my previous 1200 (which, BTW, was still working after six years, though starting to have some issues with leaking). The BEST thing is the improved control panel with the brightly lit clock. With my old coffee maker I had to turn on the lights, bend way down, and squint with my glasses off to read the clock–and it was a major pain re-setting it if the power went out. This one you can…

Very good coffee maker with a couple annoying issues Great coffeemaker BUT there are some design defects. When you lift the top to get to the water reservoir the angle is such that all the condensation rolls down the back of the machine leaving a sizeable puddle on the counter. The lid’s angle also makes it impossible to pour water into the reservoir from the pot without spilling water. Need a re-design.
