A major disappointment I bought this because I wanted a coffee maker with a good thermal carafe. There are lower cost options available, but I assumed this Cuisinart unit would be a level above. Unfortunately, I’ve found the thermal carafe to do a very poor job of keeping the coffee warm. After about an hour, the coffee has cooled to the point where I reheat it in the microwave after I pour a cup. It’s clear that most of the heat is being lost through the lid and the plastic top. Coffee isn’t that hot Update: I’ve had this coffee maker for 3 weeks now and I do not recommend this coffee maker for individuals who programs their coffeemaker before they go to bed. I’ve exchanged numerous emails with Cuisinart and not satisfied with this product. I always program my coffeemaker the night before so that my coffee is brewed when I wake up.
