I love what it produces. But it can get messy. It’s a bit messy – since it makes little random squirts from the portafilter – regardless of how well the espresso is ground, distributed in the basket, or tamped. Yet in spite of that annoyance, the portafilter can produce a delicious shot with plenty of crema.
