GREAT coffee but lots of flaws – read below. First of all – this makes GREAT coffee. HOWEVER, see the picture of the coffee maker after about 3 months of relatively light use. Yes, it can brew fewer than 6 cups. Connected version:Does an excellent job of brewing 6 to 8 cups. Possible to brew less than 6. I’ve brewed as few as two cups (290 grams/10 oz of water) but the brewer failed at one cup (145 grams of water.)It won’t work for pour-over but it will work with a immersion brewer such as a French press or a Bonavita ceramic. Behmor Connected is my new obsession Love this machine. It makes the perfect pot of coffee. I am able to control brew water temperature and pre-soak time. I have an OXO 12 cup barrista that stopped working after 2 months and the Behmor is my replacement machine. I like this machine much more than the OXO.
