BUYER BEWARE This was embarrassing. I sent it to my daughter as a Christmas gift and was asked,”Did you send me a box of chocolates?” “What do you mean? I sent you a Godiva GIFT BASKET. And it wasn’t cheap. What did you get?” She told me she got a box of a couple of candy bars and another small item. Nothing much. I’m very disappointed and caution any other gift giver to look elsewhere.
DO NOT BUY Ordered this for my girlfriend and myself, hoping to surprise her. Extremely disappointing. For 45 bucks I’d expect to get a healthy quantity of actual chocolate, considering the size of the basket and a modest discount for buying so much at once. Enough at least for two to pig out on over a holiday weekend. Instead, it’s 4-5 actual chocolates, some choc covered pretzels, and a packet of mocha coffee. The basket part is totally filled with paper, the choc packets just sort of float on top…
The ceramic pot was broken on arrival. And Ghirardelli won’t allow me to return/get a refund! Not happy to have this gift be received BROKEN. No recourse offered. So disappointed in this gift, which was disappointing to the recipient, too! BROKEN!!! But the product descriptions says: “Each basket ships in heavy-duty bubble wrap and carefully packaged in a fitted box to arrive intact and as pictured!” Big fat lies!!!
