Warranty is useless, buyer beware The pot was a good sized and worked well for a couple months (kept my morning pot of tea at 180 degrees for at least 4 hours), but then a few weeks ago a sloshing sound developed inside the pot and it ceased to hold its temperature for as long as it had. However, when I contacted the company, they said what I heard as sloshing was a “normal” rattling sound of the liner (it was not). This is the Best of the Best (IMHO) I put some hot tap water in the carafe to warm it up. I use an Thermopen instant read thermometer. I let it sit for about 5 minutes. Then I poured out the water and put in new 140 F hot water. 4 hours later the temperature was still 130. 20 hours later the temperature was 114F. I am impressed.

I like French press coffee and I like it hot For me this keeps coffee hot for quite a while. But that is a relative statement so here are some facts. I like French press coffee and I like it hot. So before using this carafe with coffee I ran this trial. I filled the carafe with 140 deg F water while I brought the water kettle I use for french press to 210 deg (I know French Press isn’t to be over 185 deg).
