Organic roasted French chicory root is the secret to making French Coffee New Orleans style. Chicory imparts a smoother, less acidic flavor to coffee making it easier on both your taste buds and your stomach. It’s also an important herbal tea ingredient that adds more body to weak teas. Chicory root contains the highest amount of inulin of any food. Inulin is the prebiotic soluble fiber that feeds your beneficial digestive flora, also called probiotics. Brewing chicory root in hot water naturally extracts its inulin into your cup. Improve your nutrition and support your immune system with a daily cup of roasted chicory that keeps your probiotics flourishing! We bet you’ve probably eaten chicory greens before in a salad. Great coffee substitute I have been thinking about getting off coffee for awhile now and recently decided to try chicory as a substitute. Amazingly I really like it. Is it a full bodied French Roast coffee? No, but it’s pretty darn good and it’s organic, caffeine free and acid free. It brews like regular coffee and I can drink it anytime. I add some of my favorite protein powder and it makes a very yummy hot drink that takes the edge off my hunger after a workout or between meals. I find it alot better, more…

really does taste like coffee very good product like most of these, i wish the price was not so high. however because i use this as coffee I will buy again but wait for sales. this mixed with dandelion and licorice root really tastes very close to coffee. I add about 1/8 the normal amount of coffee, just to get a little coffee smell and caffeine but not to much coffee that it is bad for you. This has no acidity and I did taste it with no coffee and it is hard to know the difference, if you served this to someone and did not…

Very Strong- Slightly Bitter I like the Worldwide Botanicals brand chicory, but the Anthony’s Organics french roast chicory tasted better to me. The smell of it is very good, and it comes from a good source. This one is VERY dark, so go easy on the amount that you use. The suggestion on the bag is way too much, and I love a good dark roast coffee. This is an all purpose grind, so it can be used in any coffee making method.
