use glass not plastic it will crack. I bought this because my Grandmother had one of these and its all she used. It made the best coffee EVER.. So I get this one in the mail. I will admit it makes GREAT coffee. But they are made cheap. The clear top is plastic after using the machine 4 times the seal on the plastic cracked making a mess. I do not understand why products from the 50’s and 60’s still work great but the so called great high tech crap breaks in 4 days. Grrrrr Please people if it worked great back in the day why…
