Not just any carafe! This is not your ordinary carafe or hot pot, this product is fantastic. We use it mainly for our morning coffee. As a family of six, we are coming and going different times of the day and this carafe has kept the coffee extremely hot from the first cup to the very last one. Great Thermal Insulation for Hot and Cold I wanted more ice coffee than my travel mug holds (common problem I’m sure!). I got this carafe because it looked like a good clean design, and promised great thermal insulation. I tested this with iced coffee, as well as hot coffee.For the iced, I brewed a full pot of hot coffee at 10:00 PM, putting 6 large 2″ ice cubes in the coffee pot. It works! I have been trying various carafes for years with lukewarm results (no pun intended). I take most marketing things I read with a grain of salt. So, when they said coffee would stay hot for many hours I was skeptical. Until I tried it. I poured a cup o’ joe 6 1/2 hours after it was brewed and it seemed just as hot as when it was made. I finally have a carafe that does what I need. This is one of those rare purchases where the product exceeded my expectations.
