Easy replacement for dark roast coffee, reminds me of houjicha. I’ve had some really bad mate and some really good mate. This is definitely toward the really good end. When you open the bag you can see the mix of green mate leaves and roasted mate leaves. Definitely has a mate taste with a mixed taste of a roasted tea like houjicha. Love At First Steep I absolutely love this blend! I drink it instead of coffee and it gives me energy while curbing my appetite slightly.
