Pass on this one Cheap and flimsy. Put this in a bag with our camping gear and by the time we got to our first campsite it was dented and the handle had broken. It still brews coffee, but nothing fits together well. It certainly is lightweight, and if that is important to you then this might work for you, but it was too flimsy for us. Spend a little more and get one that is a bit more sturdy.

Updated review after camping trip.. I have not used this pot yet, but the items seems to be made pretty well. It is aluminum, but it’s not flimsy by any means. I had no problems with taking off and putting the lid back on, and the filter basket and support seems to be make pretty well. The percolator dome is plastic, was hoping for glass, but it should work fine. I can’t wait to use it this summer while camping. The coffee tasted great. I was actually impressed and a little fascinated … Okay if so I wasn’t exactly sure how this thing was even going to work. This is the first time ever using a percolator. We took it camping with us to the Grand Canyon a few weeks ago and make coffee with it every morning over an open flame. Took about 15 minutes to warm up and make coffee.
