TRY MEDIUM ROAST FOR ESPRESSO I have found that the medium body coffee really makes a better espresso. I have always been doing things by the book, and buying a dark roast, then adding sugar to take the bitterness out. With a medium roast, there is no bitter flavor as found in dark roast. I was talking to an employee of an espresso coffee machine company, and he said that threir office uses medium roast, they all prefer the flavor.
