This Coffee Press makes Great Coffee! My wife says I’m a coffee snob. She’s right. I am picky, picky, picky about my coffee. I grind my own beans, because ground fresh, coffee tastes so much better! Some tricks for the first couple of uses. Great coffee system! I am not a coffee snob. But I do like very strong black coffee. Using 8 o’clock dark Italian espresso whole bean coffee from Walmart, which I ground last week, and heating on a 15 year old MSR whisperlite, Yeilded a rich smooth cup (actually a quart ) of coffee every time. Best French Press I’ve Used Used on a camping trip this weekend. Awesome! We have the GSI plastic french press designed for backpacking and I used to have a Bodum glass one, but it broke with regular use. This is better than both of those. We also have the Jet Bowl insert (also for backpacking) and that just makes a huge mess. This works well and is easy to clean. I like how you can put it on the stove or fill it with hot water.
