Great! Not that Great… But still GREAT! Got it? I bought this mainly because I am tired of glass french presses. I am not a delicate guy. And glass usually breaks around me. So I saw this model from Stanley and bought it immediately. This thing is huge!!!! Is massive! If that is going to bother you, than don’t buy it. It did not bother me. And I am taking this thing with me in trips. Because of the size, I usually put gear inside it so i can take advantage of it to protect whatever i put inside. But it will be very difficult to take it in…

Stanley name, China quality. Bought for camping. Haven’t used it yet, so I can’t speak for heat retention. The quality of the filter assembly (the pieces that sandwich the mesh filter) is very poor. Mine arrived all bent and would have let plenty of grounds to get by. I was able to “tweak” it back into reasonable shape, but I would still like to find a better replacement filter assembly. It feels flimsy and I’m sure will need straightening with every use. I would not recommend.

Not bad but i was expecting better it’s a very nice and sturdy french press no doubt. however the lid heats up when in use and obviously that means its not doing much in the way of insulating my coffee. the coffee does stay hot for a while but not 4 hours. maybe mine is defective? Either way you get coffee. the screen is better than the others i have had in the past. I would go five stars if it were able to keep the coffee hotter longer.
