Smooth and Deadly Deceptively smooth. You can make a strong pot of Deadman’s Reach and not taste anything bitter. But the caffeine level will surprise you. It may say it’s a dark roast, but it tastes like a rather plain medium roast. In fact, I have had blonde roasts that are similar in taste to this coffee. Probably my Favorite Coffee of All Time I love this coffee. First off, it’s dark. If you like dark coffee, then you’ve come to the right place. It’s also strong.
