Smooth and Deadly Deceptively smooth. You can make a strong pot of Deadman’s Reach and not taste anything bitter. But the caffeine level will surprise you. It may say it’s a dark roast, but it tastes like a rather plain medium roast. In fact, I have had blonde roasts that are similar in taste to this coffee. I JUST fell in-love with a dead man… I’ve finally gotten around to giving this coffee a shot after it was recommended to me by a friend. First, the beans arrived fresh and when I opened the bag I was excited by the aroma and by the sight of the beautiful oily beans.
