HISTORY OF ESPRESSO: Espresso is a specialty coffee brewed by forcing small amounts of nearly boiling water under pressure through finely ground coffee beans. Espresso is generally thicker and more highly concentrated than coffee brewed by other methods, often featuring a creamy foam on top. Espresso was invented in Italy at the beginning of the 20th century by Luigi Bezzera. Bezzera invented a method of creating coffee using steam pressure, providing a quick way to make a single cup of coffee. The original Italian name meant “pressed coffee,” with a connotation of speed and efficiency EXCEPTIONAL DESIGN: The Primula 6-Cup Aluminum Espresso Maker features a modern, stylish design with a high-quality aluminum body. The handle is made from a heat resistant plastic that not only provides you with a firm and reliable grip, but also allows your hand to stay cool during use. Its efficient layout forces pressurized water through coffee grounds, and deposits a rich, full bodied espresso blend into the serving chamber FIRST USE INSTRUCTIONS: Unscrew the top and remove the filter funnel from the base. Locate the filter plate and rubber washer, and remove both. Wash all parts in hot water and then reassemble. It is recommended that your first espresso be thrown away as to ensure the optimal taste of ensuing brews SUBSEQUENT USES AND CLEANING: To use, fill the base with fresh water up to the level of the safety valve and insert the filter funnel. Fill the filter funnel with finely ground coffee (do not press down), and screw the assembled top firmly to the base. Don’t pay that ridiculous price for the Bialetti! I’ve waited until I had a chance to give this unit a thorough test drive before reviewing it. Have made perhaps 50 or 60 pots with it.When I was shopping I didn’t want to pay for the Bialetti 12-cup, because I thought it was too much money. Love the Bialetti quality but bought the Primula to save some dough. It looks like it’s gone up since then, but still less than half the cost of the Bialetti.I can happily report that the Primula Moka pot works perfectly. Just make…

Works Well! This ain’t the Cadillac of espresso makers. I read some bad reviews and I’m hoping to set a few things straight. No one who wrote those reviews is wrong; you’re getting what you pay for here.I don’t use it every day and sometimes I use it twice or more a day. I haven’t used it for a year yet but I’ve gone through 2 whole $4 cans of Bustelo and what comes out tastes like… well, coffee. Espresso? Eh, I’m not sure I really know the difference but it sure as heck looks like…

Poor construction, spend more and get an Italian-made coffee maker Bought this to replace an old Bialetti espresso maker that lasted many years. The Primula coffee maker system consists of 3 parts: base, funnel and top section. Unfortunately, build quality was sub-par, affecting the performance of the product. The system had many problems that warrant a 1-star review:1. The base and top section did not close tightly and the coffee would leak while attempting to make coffee.2. The funnel was slightly smaller than the base section, causing it to get…
