Perfect for hiking I’ve had this percolator for a few weeks now, And must say it makes a decent cup of coffee.It makes about 2 large 16oz cups of coffee on one perc, I bought this for hiking and wanted a super small and lightweight backpack percolator, this is the perfect one for my needs. I perc the coffee for about 4-5 mins on medium flame after it has begun boiling and find it’s just right in the taste department, Here are some pics for scale and such, happy trails!
Love the pot, but hate the leak… I have purchased this pot two times as of this date. I had to return the first one due to a small constant drip that leaked from the handle rivets. The leak was constant in that it leaked whether the pot was hot or cold. Besides being annoying, it created a bit of a mess while the pot was heating on the stove. Finally a lightweight backcountry solution for REAL COFFEE !!! Can’t beat the weight and versatility of this combo. This is an awesome solution for real coffee on the trail. I had recently resigned myself to drinking the 3-in-one instant coffees while backpacking (the types that can be purchased at most Asian markets), but was always hoping for a better solution.
