The coffee maker part is great. The hot water dispenser is not convenient I purchased this for the convenience of the coffeemaker/hot water dispenser in one appliance vs. two separate ones taking up counter space. The coffee maker part is great. The hot water dispenser is not convenient. The steam and condensation from brewing the coffee travels under the lid to the neighboring hot water compartment. The hot water compartment collects the condensation along with any stray coffee grinds, and there is no easy way to clean it. It does not fully drain and it is not easy…
Heating element quits at 4 months. After only 4 months ownership, using the coffee maker at least once per day, the heating element quit working. It has a one years manufacturers warranty so I’m sending this back. We’ll see what they do. The hot water side does not boil the water, something that real tea lovers will tell you is absolutely necessary for the tea to steep and boil-out the impurities of the water.
It is what they say it is. Good coffee, easy to use, easy to clean w/hot water dispenser. UPDATE: Loses memory, coffee is weak I had my doubts, but this brewing system proved to be what I wanted. It is an affordable, easy to use coffee maker with a bonus hot water dispenser. It is as easy to clean as my former single function machine whose only extra feature was an on/off switch.
