If you are a fan of good coffee this is for you. Excellent coffee. I won’t try to come up with a long list of adjectives to be more convincing. Excellent coffee is all I’ve got. All of the Lavazza coffees that I have tried have been good but this particular one is the best I’ve had so far. Highly recommended. This is NOT a heavy dark roast. But it is very full of flavor.

Average for a Lavazza, good by other standards I would rate the Gran Riserva below Lavazza’s Tierra! and Super Crema for sure. It isn’t as flavorful as the Crema e Aroma, but is less acidic. I like(d) it better than the Qualita Oro, which is priced outrageously. For the price, the Gran Riserva also offers less value than the Pienaroma. I don’t remember the Gran Riserva’s characteristics that well – so it wasn’t memorable, I guess. 🙂 Nothing much wrong with it, either. My expectations must have been high because it’s called “Gran…
