Great, if you know what you are getting into… I will get to detailed opinions of Lavazza’s dark roast Gran Filtro coffee, but first here is the summary: Fantastic coffee that is slightly over roasted. But as a dark roast, these beans are kind of light. Like a medium brown bean, not a dark brown or almost black bean.I like a dark roast coffee like Barista Italian (k-cup), Starbucks Italian, Starbucks Kamoto Dragon. Not bad, price is fair. This is not a bad coffee and priced fairly. The beans are not particularly dark or oily compared to other beans I have purchased and its flavor was a bit too earthy than what I prefer but it did stand up pretty well when adding creamer unlike some where the coffee flavor all but disappears. I prefer the San Francisco Bay French roast, Starbucks French roast and Dark Brazilian, and Koffee Cult over this coffee.
