Not appropriate for long-term seed or freeze-dried food While I am sure these bags would be great for storing some items, it is not usable for items that need to be protected from oxygen. I even used oxygen absorbers, but the items degraded. The clear plastic makes the bags less than air tight. Items that need to be in air tight containers should be stored in Mylar bags or canning jars with oxygen absorbers.
