Overall a decent hot beverage substitute. On par with other major brands. At some point I decided that I was drinking a little too much coffee (about 2-3 pots a day) and decided to find an alternative for the afternoons. So I decided to try some of these coffee alternatives. I have tied several and found Cafix (and Pero and Roma) to be decent substitutes. I purchased this over the other two mainly based on price. Our daughter loves it!!! Oddly enough our 3yr daughter loves the taste of coffee. My wife is Italian, born and raised. So she was very familiar with this barley product as a substitute for coffee as they use this there in Italy for those individuals that would still like a warm beverage without the intake of caffeine. Since product contains no caffeine it’s safe to give to children and elderly (even decaffeinated coffee still has a small amount of caffeine in it). 2 out of 3 broken!!! I ordered a unit of 3, as I unwrapped 2 of them I could tell something wasnât right. 2 of the 3 jars were broken and It was a mess. I was surprised as each was individually wrapped in a bubble type wrap. This was disappointing as this was a re-order due my liking this product a great deal. It is not eligible for returning and there was no option for having it replaced. Very upset.
