Complete waste of money! This percolator is an absolute piece of trash. The brewing basket and tube are of the thinnest metal imaginable. The cover has no hinge and only pivots on a flimsy metal strap which bends and twists each time the pot is opened. The cover fell off several times while I was filling it with water the first time I used it. I purchased this pot looking for a rugged pot that I could use to brew coffee while in the backcountry.
