Not just a cookbook but there is plenty of glorious food This book is much more than just a collection of authentic Mexican recipes that Frida favored. The narrative, co-written by Frida’s stepdaughter, also provides some engaging insight to who Frida Kahlo was and what moved her. It’s not a biography but rather provides a pleasant portrayal of what it was like to be in Frida’s orb, the time period, and the locations. Second purchase I have a copy of this book, have read it twice. I really love the work of Fria Kahlo, so this book was a diversified version of her life and personality. A really good cookbook of traditional Mexican specialties, with antecdotes thrown in aboutFrida. Written partly by Diego Rivera’s daughter, she had first-hand experience with Frida since she lived with them for a time. I bought this book a second time as a Christmas gift for my daughter-in-law. LOVE the books LOVE the books, pictures & instructions. Very easy read.I initially purchased the books since I’m fascinated by anything Frida Kahlo but once I read it, I fell in love & have tried multiple recipes already.
