Coffee Storage
Coffee has four age old enemies; heat, light, air and moisture. The way coffee is stored is essential to keeping it fresh and ready to enjoy. Storing coffee in conditions that expose it to these elements will allow for the coffee to lose its flavor rapidly. Coffee should be stored in an airtight container. We suggest either a glass, metal or ceramic version. Coffee should not be stored in the freezer, contrary to popular belief, as it leads to moisture extracting the flavor of the coffee. Coffee beans are porous and will also absorb unwanted flavors from your freezer.

What happened? I have ordered this coffee several times in the past & have been pleased with both the freshness & the taste, however this bag differs & not in a good way. The beans are very dry & the coffee has little to no aroma. I think we received a bag of stale beans as the taste is quite acrid. Not sure I would order this coffee again.
A solid choice for whole bean coffee! If you have a coffee mill, you can really up your coffee game by grinding whole beans just before brewing. However, it is increasingly difficult to find supermarkets (at least in my area of Northeastern Massachusetts) that have a good selection of whole beans. A 5lbs bag is way bigger than it sounds, and even if you are a coffee fiend on the scale that I am, you’ll find that this bag lasts quite a long time, and you can save yourself a bundle by buying bulk.As for the flavor of this…
The beans are super dry and lack flavor The beans are super dry and lack flavor. I’m flabbergasted by the positive reviews. When you grind them, they have this weird white flakes in the coffee that looks like bark. I’ve never seen this in coffee. Will. It purchase again.
