LOVE IT!! Love this percolator….No more bitter coffee. Need to remember to use the coarse ground coffee, not the grind for drip makers. The full pot is not clumsy or heavy like the carafe for the drip makers. My 90 year old mom easily lifts the full 12 cup pot. I am glad to have chosen this percolator. I have use it for 3weeks now, every day and is on most of the day keeping the coffee nice and hot, but not scorched. This is a great percolator.
Great percolator. Make sure to give it it’s own outlet free of high powered appliances. This should hopefully be my last word on this percolator. It’s a great percolator that brews quickly. Requires even less coffee than my hamilton beach one, 3 scoops equals 12 cups of bold flavorful coffee. The heating element did not go out as I previously stated, it was the outlet. it has a microwave and a toaster oven on the same circuit. Moving the thing to another outlet fixed the problem. I’m not certain it is really stainless steal, as a magnet will stick to it, although weakly. But the…
Good coffee – but makes noises continuously after brewing I purchased this coffee pot to replace a similar styled Melitta – that is no longer produced. Both make very hot coffee – which is why I prefer this style to a typical percolator. After approximately one week – this coffee pot started making a loud hissing noise from bottom of the coffee pot, after it had finished brewing. I thought it would go away – but it hasn’t.
