Great until we decided to smash it open to find the source of the green funk We loved this carafe for the first 6 months. We used it daily, and it kept tea and coffee hot all day.Recently, we noticed there was water sloshing around in the lid and smelly flecks of green/brown coming out of the red pour button. We couldnât open the area the water was in and the water pocket was separate from where the drink passed through. Yes, the cap is a bit finicky to thread properly, but if you pay just a bit of attention, its not a big deal. The french press coffee I make at say 8am is still piping hot at 11am, and reasonably warm at 4pm. At 4pm, I’m not expecting the coffee to be scalding.
