The better brand of coffee alternative. I bought this and Pero, and compared. The Pero was ok at best, but I liked the Cafix. If you go in expecting it to taste just like coffee, you will be disappointed. This does give me some of the satisfaction of a relaxing cup of decaf in the evening, but it doesn’t go stale as quickly as a cup of coffee does. If I drink coffee after it’s a half hour old, even if it’s decaf, it gives me a headache. I’m not sure why. But Cafix doesn’t give me the headache.The differences between Cafix…

Great coffee substitute! Hi there, prior to Cafix, we were drinking Dandy Blend, but I wanted to try something different; works out that Cafix is a tad cheaper in the long run, and it does the job. Didn’t want acidic coffee (in fact, been drinking the Dandy Blend for over a year now – hence wanting to try something new). Wasn’t disappointed! It dissolves well — I’m probably the only person on the planet who does this: put a little water in your coffee maker carafe, add 5 rounded spoons (or more to your taste)…

Not my favorite but will do Just doesn’t have the flavor richness of Pero. But since Pero has gone so high in price, it will have to do. I’m not a coffee drinker and never have been, so this is not a substitute for me,but it seems Pero smells like coffee and has a fuller taste than Cafix. No big deal, since I have had Cafix before. Nothing beat Postum but its outrageous price makes it ridiculous to even consider in this economy and with other options. Besides, the real Postum is no more and the name was sold to a private…
