Don’t believe the 1 year warranty claim These cups are fine to use and great for coffee but one of the four cups failed less than 6 months from purchase. When contacted for a replacement or refund a person named Andre answered by email that “glass is not covered in the warranty”. The only material in the cup is glass so I’m not sure exactly what that means and he would not respond further. The take home message is that there is no warranty for failure of these cups. I would highly advise against buying them.

The cheapening of a once fine product I purchased one of the older excellent Bodum 15oz bistro sets (my review of that set is on Amazon somewhere) and I purchased this one thinking I would be getting more of the same. That was incorrect. What I received was a “newer” design manifesting itself as a smaller, lighter (they trimmed off about an ounce of their excellent glass) and, therefore, daintier feeling mug. There is little question in my mind that some more of its much needed robustness has been further sacrificed…

Leaks between glass layers! Have happily used these for years. This latest batch, however, allows liquid leak between two layers of glass.
