Preheat by filling with hot water for first use of day. Then make your coffee. Pour water out, then pour in coffee. The Bellemain Premium Thermal Carafe is perfect. But, some tips on use follow. When the carafe is down to say 25% full I noticed people quit pouring coffee too soon thinking the pot is empty. It isn’t. You simply have to lower the spout more by rotating the handle.
