Great coffee pot I have had this model coffee perculator for a decade give or take. We wanted an additional one for decaf and the other for regular. So we bought another for our selves.Our sister in law loved how the pot was free to move at will and can just set back on the base to keep hot or reheat. Terrible customer service Used this coffee pot two months (almost to the day) when the heating element burned out. The coffee was rich and hot but I agree with another review that it left a lot of coffee grounds all over the place when brewing more than 8 cups. BUT, my biggest knock it Cuisinart’s lack of customer service. Good Product at First We used this percolator for about a year and were generally happy with it. If you had asked me to rate it in the first month, I’d have given it 4 or 5 stars. After a year of use though, my opinion is different. The clear top is made of plastic, not glass, and this is the main weakness. The plastic part eventually breaks where it screws into the lid and the replacement costs $7. If it were a glass part I don’t think this would happen.
