UCAN Energy Bars contain no trans fats and are gluten-free. Create your own UCAN moment with our SuperStarch-powered products. UCAN was developed by a family seeking a sustained energy source for their son, who was born with a rare metabolic disorder. We use SuperStarch, a smart carb, as the fuel for our energy powders and bars. Some FAQs: HOW DO I USE UCAN ENERGY BARS? > Daily – Eat a UCAN bar for breakfast or between meals; the slow-release of carbs will steady your blood sugar, promoting sustained energy and curbing cravings. > Pre-workout – Eat a bar 30-90 minutes before you exercise for steady energy and lasting endurance. > Post-workout – Eat a bar immediately after you exercise to curb post-workout cravings and get to your next meal without a blood sugar crash. WHAT MAKES SuperStarch UNIQUE? SuperStarch is a carbohydrate that doesn’t spike blood sugar, instead delivering a slow and steady release of glucose into the bloodstream. It does not cause a significant rise in blood insulin levels, which permits greater use of fat for fuel relative to other carbohydrate sources. WHAT IS SuperStarch MADE FROM? SuperStarch is a patented energy source created from non-GMO corn. It contains no added sugar or stimulants, is gluten-free and is vegan-friendly. HOW DOES SuperStarch HELP WITH ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE? Keeping a stable blood sugar is critical for athletic performance and endurance. You’re much less likely to become fatigued if blood sugar is steady during exercise; you can also burn fat efficiently during your workout if blood sugar is stable.

Great snack for endurance athletes on Keto Diet (or any athlete looking to avoid insulin spikes & keep blood sugar stable) Keto Review – On a Keto diet so I take in very few carbs (naturally). Superstarch is the exception since the carbs are released so slowly, there isn’t the same insulin response as other carbs. I only take superstarch when I’m doing intense endurance exercise and I need/want the extra fuel (4-5 hour mountain bike rides). I can take the Superstarch powder pre-ride (with some exogenious keytones to really up the keto energy!) but these bars are great for a mid-ride snack when you’re putting in…

It isn’t like any other bar on the market so don’t expect … This Works!!! It isn’t like any other bar on the market so don’t expect it to taste like a regular protein bar. I am a dance teacher and carry a bar with me everywhere I go. I am recovering from mold exposure, which can mess with your blood sugar big-time, so I am dealing with hypoglycemia. The kind that comes on slow & subtle and then I find myself feeling spacey and having a hard time thinking, losing track of time, depressed and feeling like someone else has hijacked my mind. Crankiness,…

Do These SUCK? So far I’ve tried every single flavor of UCAN super starch bars. Only the chocolate flavor and the peanut butter chocolate flavor have actual chocolate on the outside that resembles the type of chocolate that I am used to eating. The downfall for that is that it melts super easy. The other bars as well as the chocolate and peanut butter have an internal core that resembles a block made of sawdust. The cinnamon flavor was OK and had no outer covering. Same goes for the peach. If I…
