The build quality is great and the features are many I bought this one for the glass carafe which I prefer to the thermal carafe. The build quality is great and the features are many. It comes with a gold tone basket filter and also has a cone adapter (#4) that snaps into the brew basket. The cone adapter did not come with a gold tone filter, so you need to either purchase one or use a paper filter. I had read some reviews on it that initially made me hesitant to buy it, but I am glad I finally bought it. One of the chief complaints was water…

Great Coffee Maker We’ve been using this coffee make for almost a month and love it. It has plenty options on brew choices so we’re still learning. We bought this to replace our leaking Kitchen Aid pour over brewer and find the Breville on the Gold setting tastes smoother and better. Only thing to note is if you choose to use the basket filters, we found the store bought filters didn’t fit well and we bought the commercial Bunn filters and they work great.

Breville BDC400 With Glass Carafe After 2 weeks use: It brews a better pot than the Cuisinart we had been using for several years. The water reservoir is separate from the grounds basket, so you do not wind up with flakes of ground coffee floating in the water. The shower head is far enough away from the ground coffee, so that you don’t wind up with coffee grounds splattering the shower head and getting stuck in the holes. The shower head is easily detached for cleaning. The bloom cycle gives auto drip coffee an almost pour…
