YUCK Odd non-coffee-like odor when I opened the sealed bag for the first time–It reminded me of a chemical odor and did not smell like coffee beans at all. The brewed coffee was very bland with a nasty lingering grassy aftertaste. I couldn’t finish even one half cup. The bag and the beans are in the trash. I will never buy this horrible stuff again.
its darker than its should be the taste and flavor are okay, but it’s darker than it should be, if you like dark roasted coffee this could be a good choice, for me it was not.
Wow. This is a really special coffee! This coffee is the first one I’ve tried that equals or betters my previous favorite coffee… Peets Major Dickason. It’s similar to some very good dark roast Sumatra coffees I’ve purchased here with that pungent, earthy flavor inherent in Indonesian coffees, but what I think makes this particular Papua New Guinea special is that it’s a medium dark roast which gives me the taste of a dark roast, but also some of the more subtle flavors that are more apparent in a medium roast. I’ll keep buying…
