Don’t pay that ridiculous price for the Bialetti! I’ve waited until I had a chance to give this unit a thorough test drive before reviewing it. Have made perhaps 50 or 60 pots with it.When I was shopping I didn’t want to pay for the Bialetti 12-cup, because I thought it was too much money. Love the Bialetti quality but bought the Primula to save some dough. Material no good This coffee maker seemed to work fine in the beginning. I did pay attention to other reviews about not using the handle to unscrew the top. But around the third time I made coffee instead of pouring out from the pot the coffee just spluttered everywhere, I think this is because the top part became too hot?? Anyway now the pot has developed this grayish sheen on it which rubs off on your hands when you handle it. It smells metallic and I’m not sure that it’s safe. I really wanted this to work…
