Design changed from picture. Makes a mess. The design has changed from the picture shown. The pot no longer has a spout. As a result, you cannot pour the coffee out of the pot without making a huge mess unless you screw the lid on. The lid has a tiny spout and even smaller opening. The coffee comes out at a trickle so it takes 30 seconds to pour one cup of coffee, It is also impossible to get the last cup out to the pot at all.

I was skeptical… I’ve been French pressing coffee for decades and tended to look down on other brewing methods. A couple of months ago my wife asked me to order this Melitta pour-over so that she could have an easier way to make coffee for herself. Not Warm For Hours I bought the carafe so I could make about 28 oz of coffee, my daily consumption which I typically drink in two-three hours in the morning. The first time I used it I just boiled water to see how long it would keep the liquid warm enough. After 90 minutes, it was just lukewarm. I guess it’s ok if you want to use it solely to make a lot of coffee and will consume it all quickly; otherwise it’s useless as a carafe. And it’s badly designed for cleaning.
