Not Very Good Kona Not very good Kona. There was no aroma when I opened the package. When I ground the beans there appeared to be a lot of “chaff”. Flavor was ok but didn’t taste much like any Kona I’ve ever had.
Good coffee, fair Kona This coffee is too acidic to be good Kona. It reminds me of a harsh Guatemalan. To me, Kona should only have a touch of acidity. The bulk of the flavor should be earthy and a little ashy. Also this coffee is a little old, has an uneven roast, and about 20% of the beans are broken. For Kona prices, this coffee should have been roasted less than a month ago. It should have big, smooth beans with a deep brown roast. These beans fell well short of “Hawaiian Kona Extra Fancy Coffee.”
100% Perfection Excellent roast of the perfect bean! My husband really only likes Kona coffee and recently we had to find another roaster due to his favorite changing to dark roast which is too much (tastes burned) for the delicate KONA flavor. This is an excellent medium roast at a reasonable price.
