The unit shuts off when water in bottle is depleted and restarts automatically when the empty bottle is replaced with a full bottle.

It works perfect I have very hard water from our well don’t … It works perfect I have very hard water from our well don’t even drink it have always used a bottled water dispenser for drinking water. It is so great to have bottled water going through my refrigerator now I can use my ice maker and have ice that I can put in my drinks It does get a little noisy sometimes just have to make sure that the water line is set away from the bottle.
Great for pumping bottled water to ice maker or tap on sink. I was worried about how this might work with an ice maker. I finally purchased the ice maker freezer through Amazon, review is someplace. You put the long tube down into a 5 gallon water bottle and the connections are all compressions so no other fittings are needed. Well made device, easy to install and works as advertised! We had to replace our garage fridge and ended up with one that had a nice icemaker with ice and water in the door.
