Eleanor has a complicated life, much more complicated than a retired school teacher could want. A precocious 10-year old girl from down the street, an impertinent parrot, a group of hilarious friends, an on-again, off-again suitor, and a husband that seems to be running very late are just the beginning. Can she cope with being in the middle of the hunt for a serial killer too?

Great Read I thought this book was charming, clever and incredibly funny. It pulled me in quickly and had me reading well into the night, reluctantly putting it down only when my eyes couldn’t stay open a second longer. The last several pages left me on the edge of my seat, waiting to find out exactly WHO DONE IT?! Once revealed, I closed the book and thought, not for the first time… Wow, this lady’s talented! I then immediately texted a friend and told her to check this one out.
Fun Page Turner I loved this book! The characters are relatable, the story moves along and makes you want to know what is going to happen next, and although the perpetrator was on my list of suspects, I wasnât sure until it was actually revealed at the end. Highly recommend for a fun page turner.
Vibrant, Funny, and Real! I loved, loved, loved this book and only put it down because I had to deal with real life once in awhile! The characters are quirky and lovable, exactly like my friends and acquaintances, and the town they live in is so much like my small town. If you are a woman of a certain age, you will identify with the concerns of the main characters and the coastal coffee group.
