Several reviewers complained about the 3 plastic legs that fold out to give the carafe height to better slide cups under the spo I ordered this to serve hot chocolate made with milk at a birthday party. I had read not to use an electric carafe because the milk would stick. Even though this is not electric but just a regular metal container, it kept the chocolate hot for hours. When I was washing it out I found the remaining chocolate was still hot (not lukewarm and not boiling hot but still hot enough to drink). I was very surprised.
