Works well in automatic espresso machine and Aeropress I have a Gaggia Baila AND really like dark roasts. I’ve been warned to NOT use beans roasted so dark they give off oils (I have in the past usually gravitated toward Starbucks, Kirkland and Peets dark roasts, which are used as examples of what NOT to use with the Babila or other automatics). The story from espresso machine experts is that such oily roasts will clog the internal grinder (which cannot be disassembled & cleaned by end users). I searched for some months to find something suitable,…

Good coffee, not a current roasting date I have a Miele super automatic but also like really dark coffee. These things don’t mix so well due to the amount of oil on the beans of the darker roasts. Excellent beans and perfect for an espresso machine My favorite beans for my Gaggia espresso machine. Beans have excellent full bodied flavor, medium acidity and produce beautiful crema with an espresso shot. These beans are not oily so could be used in any grinder or espresso machine. I’ve been buying Filcori for the past 14 months and the quality has been very consistent. I prefer Filicori Zecchini Gran Crema Forte over Lavazza as it tastes better and produces a nicer crema.
